Questions about KlikClean

Does it remove files or free up space?+

KlikClean was made for physically cleaning the machine. It does not remove files, caches or apps and does not optimize the system.

How do I leave before the 60 seconds?+

Hold both Command keys, left and right, together for 3 seconds, with no Shift, Control, Option or Fn. During the 3 seconds of preparation, Esc cancels. The automatic timed unlock stays available.

Can I choose the duration?+

The current interface uses 3 seconds of preparation and 60 seconds of cleaning. It offers no duration setting. You can end early with the two Command keys shortcut.

Which permission does it need?+

Blocking input requires the Accessibility permission on macOS. The app guides you through allowing it before starting. Opening with your Mac may require approval in Login Items.

What if my Mac goes to sleep or gets locked?+

The code is designed to end the cleaning session on sleep, display off, lock or user switch. It also includes release mechanisms in case the block fails. Behavior in the distributed version still needs validation.

Are the demos recordings of the app?+

They are simplified simulations of the features checked in the code. The cycle is shortened and does not represent a real 60 seconds. The simulation on this page never blocks your keyboard or mouse.

Is it free? Which macOS do I need?+

KlikClean will be free. The project states macOS 14 or later; the download channel and tested compatibility will be confirmed before distribution.
