What can I do with KlikShot?+
Capture the whole screen, an area or a window without its shadow; edit with arrow, rectangle, text, blur and counter. Record screen and audio, or extract text from an area or through the editor. The interface is available in Portuguese and English.
Which tools and shortcuts are available?+
Capture the whole screen with ⌃⇧1, an area with ⌃⇧2 or a window without its shadow with ⌃⇧3. KlikShot does the capture itself and highlights the window before the click. In the editor, use arrow, rectangle, text, blur and numbered counter; choose from five ready colors or any other color. You can undo, copy with ⌘C and save as PNG with ⌘S. Shortcuts are not configurable yet.
How does “Extract Text” work?+
Use ⌃⇧6 to select an area or press the button in the editor. Recognition reads Portuguese and English and opens a panel to review and correct before copying. What was blurred in the editor is not read by “Extract Text”.
Can recognition take a while?+
The first read after installing can take a while as your Mac prepares recognition. Wait for the result and review it before using.
Does it recognize tables and check the data?+
It works best on one column. Tables become plain text, with no structure. Recognition does not verify numbers, ID numbers, dates or links; review before using. Exporting tables to Excel, PDF and reading QR codes are not part of this version.
Does blur remove information permanently?+
It is not a guarantee of erasure. In the saved image, very large letters may still be recognizable. Content blurred in the editor is not read by “Extract Text”, but that does not mean the saved image is free of recognizable information.
How do I stop a screen recording?+
Click the icon, use ⌃⇧4 or ⌘⌃Esc. Recording also stops when the screen locks. The video is saved as .mov on the Desktop.
Can I record Mac sound and the microphone?+
Yes. In screen recording (⌃⇧4), choose whole screen, window or area, select the screen and microphone and turn Mac sound on or off. You can show clicks and the cursor and use a 3, 5 or 10 second countdown. Audio-only recording (⌃⇧5) uses the microphone with optional Mac sound and saves as .m4a on the Desktop.
Which permissions are needed?+
Screen Recording for screenshots, video and “Extract Text”; Microphone only when recording with it; and Desktop access to save recordings.
Which macOS and which Mac do I need?+
KlikShot requires macOS 15 or newer and is meant for Macs with Apple Silicon or Intel. Validating the distributed version remains part of launch preparation.
Are the demos real recordings?+
They are simplified illustrations of the flows shown. They do not access the visitor's screen, microphone or clipboard and do not replace validation of the installed app.
Can I buy or download it yet?+
KlikShot will be paid, with an annual subscription. See the launch price and the renewal. The download is not available yet. The pricing page shows the personal license and the renewal terms.
